The contingent of former Thundering Herd have been a staple of “The Basketball Tournament” since 2018, although the team has only reached the quarterfinals twice. That didn’t stop Auburn’s Alumni from nearly taking down the experienced Herd. Wendell Green Jr. and company led the contest end-to-end until the late minutes of the...

Among those names are those who have already committed and those who are pledged elsewhere. There will also be a special case for one recruit: trying to win him back. Tyler Lockhart, a four-star linebacker from Winona, Mississippi, is scheduled to return to the Plains this weekend after backing off his pledge to Auburn last month. Lockhart has not joined another recruiting class since de-committing from Auburn, but it is heavily speculated that...

Auburn first-year defensive coordinator is no stranger to the now-former SEC West. Hired by Hugh Freeze more than three weeks after Ron Roberts' departure as defensive coordinator, DJ Durkin now enters his third straight stint in the now-defunct SEC division, after previous stops at Ole Miss and Texas A&M. He's coached against Auburn the past four seasons, and is now tasked with fine-tuning and unleashing the Tigers' defense in 2024.
