    Brownsville breaks ground on new wastewater project

    BROWNSVILLE, Texas ( ValleyCentral ) — The City of Brownsville hosted a ground breaking ceremony Friday in honor of the water/wastewater project in downtown Brownsville.

    The event took place at 9:30 a.m. Friday at the CMD/CVB Complex, located at 1312 E. Adams Street.

    Funding for this project was allocated by the City of Brownsville through a $14.5 million federal grant which is part of a sub-recipient agreement with Brownsville Public Utilities Board from the American Rescue Plan.
