Inside Valley Politics: Local reaction to the upcoming Democratic National Convention

HARLINGEN, Texas ( ValleyCentral ) — In this week’s episode of Inside Valley Politics Ben Whitman with the Northern Cameron County Democratic Group said he’s seeing renewed excitement on the Democratic side for the upcoming presidential election.

Whitman cited a near unanimity among the delegates going to the convention, with almost all of them having pledged to support the Vice President.

Governor Greg Abbott issued an order requiring hospitals to track care and spending on undocumented migrants.

Border Report’s Sandra Sanchez spoke to legal and advocacy groups about the new rule. She joined us on Inside Valley Politics to detail the new program.
