Sheriff’s office investigating property damage at Fairfax cemetery
FAIRFAX, Iowa (KCRG) - The Linn County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help identifying the people who may have caused property damage at a Fairfax cemetery last month. The sheriff’s office said it happened on, or about, July 7 at the Saint Patrick’s Cemetery, located at 9198 Saint Patrick’s Road.
C6-Zero pays $106K fine after Marengo facility explosion
C6-Zero, a shingle-recycling company involved in a December 2022 explosion at its Marengo facility, has paid its overdue fine for workplace safety violations. The Iowa Department of Inspections, Appeals and Licensing (DIAL) received a check for $105,965.32 from the company on July 30, closing a chapter in enforcing the fine.
