CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - You can learn a lot about people by how they handle difficult times, and Jean Erickson of Cedar Rapids is a great example for all of us. “I was a teacher and when I retired, I was diagnosed about three months after, with lymphoma,” she said. “I went through five months of treatment chemo. I was a stage four, and then I went into remission. Then 10 years later, I had a colonoscopy and lymphoma return. It was really hard. It took at least two years and I had six different treatments.”
