After he announced yesterday during an appearance at Fanatics Fest that his mixtape “Days Before Rodeo” is coming to streaming for the first time, Travis Scott has officially revealed that the project will hit DSPs on Aug. 23 in honor of its 10th anniversary.

Scott initially released the 12-song set as a free prelude to his debut album “Rodeo.” He put out “Days Before Rodeo” on Aug. 18, 2014, almost a year before his official first project came out on Sept. 4, 2015. “Days” consisted of the singles “Don’t Play” featuring Big Sean and the 1975 as well as “Mamacita” featuring Rich Homie Quan and Young Thug. Additional guest appearances came from Migos, Peewee Longway and Young Thug, as well as production from Metro Boomin, Lex Luger, WondaGurl and more.

Accompanying the streaming version of the album is a merch store offering three different box sets, hats, hoodies and vinyl. Fans can access unreleased bonus tracks from the “Days Before Rodeo” era by purchasing a digital version of the album on his site.

To honor the re-release, Scott dropped a trailer for the mixtape on his Instagram, showing footage of him in the studio with Future and Young Thug as well as clips of him crowd-surfing during a performance. “DAYS BEFORE RODEO 10yr ANNIVERSARY,” he wrote in the caption. “BEING CELEBRATED BY FINALLLY RE-RELEASING. EVERYWHERE AUGUST 23RD AND MAYBE COUPLE DBR SONGS FROM THAT ERA FROM THE VAULT. Travisscott.com more info and shizzzz shsbsbsbsb. IM FCKING JUMPING THRU WALLS AHHHH.”

In the time since releasing “Days Before Rodeo” and “Rodeo,” Scott has become one of the preeminent figures in hip-hop, dropping three subsequent solo albums as well as two collaborative albums. His latest, “Utopia,” came out in July 2023 and rocketed to No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in its first week of release.
