Students in Lima's GenNext program meet with Lima firefighters and explore lifesaving careers
LIMA, OH (WLIO) - Several local students received a close-up look at life-saving careers on Wednesday. As part of the City of Lima's GenNext program, students met with Mayor Shareeta Smith and the Lima Fire Department at the Bradfield Community Center to learn more about jobs in public safety. Students checked out a Lima fire truck and were shown how firefighters and EMTs perform life-saving tasks in emergencies.
Celina Girls Wrestling Approved By BOE As Varsity Sport
(7-16-24) At last night’s Celina City Schools Board of Education meeting the Celina girls wrestling program was moved from a club sport to a varsity sport. With the change the BOE authorized a change in the supplemental to Head Varsity Boys and Girls Wrestling coach and also approved an Assistant Wrestling Coach supplemental position.
Freedom School students at the Bradfield gets a visit from Lima Mayor Sharetta Smith
LIMA, OH (WLIO) - Mayor Sharetta Smith made a stop at the Freedom School at the Bradfield Community Center to see what students have been learning.
