Tax deadline is fast approaching reminds Putnam County Treasurer
PUTNAM COUNTY, OH (WLIO) - The Putnam County treasurer wants to remind property owners that their tax deadline is fast approaching. Taxes are due July 19th, and people can pay them at the treasurer's office in the courthouse, located at 245 E Main St #203, Ottawa, OH 45875, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on Thursday or Friday. Or people can put their payment in a drop box in an alley off Hickory Street. If you are mailing your check, it needs to be postmarked by July 19th for it not to be considered late. And if you own a manufactured home, your final payment date is July 31st.
Lima man arrested after shooting
LIMA — A 20-year-old Lima man is in custody after a shooting that caused critical injuries, according to a press release from the Allen County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies responded to the 2000 block of North West Street at approximately 9:31 a.m. Wednesday. They found a victim with two gunshot wounds. American Township EMS transferred the victim to Mercy Health-St. Rita’s Medical Center. The victim, who the sheriff’s office did not identify, had injuries that were “critical but considered non-life threatening,” according to the sheriff’s office.
