Some Ohio lawmakers want to ease indoor smoking restrictions for cigar lounges despite Ohio's smoking ban. Rep. Richard Dell'Aquila, D-Seven Hills, and Rep. Rep. Adam Mathews, R-Lebanon, are supporting House Bill 530 which would provide cigar lounges with an exemption from 2006's Smoke Free Workplace Act. Currently, cigar lounges can allow indoor smoking if 80% or more of their sales come from cigars or cigar products. The legislation would lower that to 15%. ...
Art attracts visitors to Opera House
CONVOY—The display at the top of the stairway in the Convoy Opera House has drawn a lot of visitors during the community’s 150th anniversary. The attraction is the multiplicity of artwork created by Vance Kirkland, who was born in Convoy on Nov. 3, 1904. He eventually attended the Cleveland School of Art where he received a Diploma Degree of Painting in 1927 and a Bachelor in Education Degree in Art in 1928. He then continued his education in art education at the Cleveland School of Education and Western Reserve.

LIMA, OH (WLIO) - One Lima organization is celebrating their 5-year anniversary of their pursuit to curb violence and encourage unity in the city. On Monday evening, Com_UNITY Ministries gathered with residents to celebrate those 5 years with a "Praise and Prayer Picnic." The evening was also filled with honor as organizers held a "Remembrance Wall" where the names of 45 Lima citizens who lost their lives to violence. The religious group formed in 2019, following a series of shootings in June of that year, and since their inception, they have been working hard to fulfill a mission of peace and unification.
