Springfield police arrest man accused of pulling ATM out of convenience store
LEABURG, Ore. – A man is facing a burglary charge after deputies say he used a truck to yank an ATM out of store on McKenzie Highway, damaging the front of the business. According to the Lane County Sheriff’s Office, at about 3:30 a.m. on June 28, deputies responded to a business on McKenzie Highway for a report of a burglary. Deputies said a truck had backed into the store through the front door, and the driver used a strap to pull an ATM out of the store and drive off with it. The LCSO said they spoke with the owner of the store and got a description of the suspect from surveillance video, which they relayed to nearby law enforcement agencies.
