VENICE — The city’s annual fireworks show takes place Thursday, July 4, beginning shortly after 9 p.m.

The fireworks will be shot off from the South Jetty by Pyrotecnico in a show that will last about 30 minutes.

Humphris Park at the South Jetty will be closed July 4 in preparation for the fireworks display, which will be viewable from area beaches and other locations around Venice.

People planning to watch from a boat should anchor by 8:15 p.m. as the jetty inlet will be closed to boat traffic at 8:30 p.m. It will reopen about 30 minutes after the display’s grand finale.

Inclement weather could delay the show. The city will post updates on its Facebook page (Venice, Florida Municipal Government), Twitter/X (@CityofVeniceFL) and the city website website, VeniceGov.com.
