    CHP issues Ebony Alert for missing Ventura girl who may be headed to Sacramento

    The California Highway Patrol issued an Ebony Alert across several counties on Tuesday afternoon as officials searched for a girl reported missing .

    The alert was activated on behalf of the Ventura Police Dept. and is for 12-year-old Tiana Carter, who was last seen around 3:30 a.m. Tuesday near Harper Drive and Santa Margarita Road in the city of Ventura, the CHP said.

    The alert was issued in Sacramento, San Joaquin, Stanislaus and Ventura counties.

    She is described as measuring 5 feet 8 inches, weighing around 187 pounds, and has black hair and brown eyes.

    The CHP said she was last seen with a black and orange shirt and glasses, and that she is believed to be traveling to the Sacramento area in an unknown vehicle.
