Idaho Humane Society steps up to find homes for rescued California dogs
Boise, Idaho (CBS2) - The Idaho Humane Society is joining other shelters to help find homes for 50 dogs rescued from a home in California. 30 dogs arrived in Boise on Friday. They came from a shelter in Riverside, California. That shelter has faced three separate hoarding cases in the Coachella Valley. 50 dogs were found in one of the homes. An old, closed-down restaurant space in the Lake Arrowhead Village has gotten a remodel and makeover, and is now quickly rising to become a top destination: Sunsets Island Bar & Grill and Tiki Republik. “Our Town” is the theme for this year’s Mountain Top Days parade for 2024. Organized by the Running Springs Chamber of Commerce made up of dedicated and committed volunteers, team and staff members. Entertainment participants will be Scott Richardson, our traditional high wheeler, dressed up as Uncle Sam, the Blues Star Moms, an organization entailing the sons and daughters that currently or previously served in the military, the Golden Oaks Seniors, country western dancers, the popular smokey the bear are a few to mention in the lineups. Our amazing Fire Dept, Sheriffs, Forestry team, Caltrans and Rim Family Services will be present to show their support of our Running Springs town and community.
"Resilience" Mural to be Unveiled at Encanto
A new mural entitled “Resilience” by San Bernardino artist Brenda Angel will be unveiled at a 10:00 am ceremony on Wednesday, July 31 at the Encanto Community Center, located at 1108 West 9th Street. This is the second mural to be dedicated as part of the City of San Bernardino Beautification and Cultural Infusion Project funded through a Creative Corps Inland SoCal grant, from the Inland Empire Community Foundation in partnership with the California Arts Council.
