Sheridan VFD fundraiser Aug. 17
The Sheridan Volunteer Fire Department is conducting its annual dinner and concert on Aug. 17 at the Fire Station, 980 Sheridan Lane. Tickets for the dinner and concert are $40 per person. Kids under 12 get a free hot dog dinner. Dinner will include either tri-tip or cornish game hen, Sheridan beans, corn, coleslaw, and garlic bread along with a no-host bar including Great Basin Brewing beer, wine, soft drinks and water. There will be information regarding fire safety in the Wildland Urban Interface and how to create a Fire Safe Community to help lower home insurance rates, and an opportunity to sign up to become a volunteer with the East Fork Fire Protection District.
