Infant airlifted to Milwaukee hospital dies; caregiver charged
MILWAUKEE — Racine police officers responded to a call about an unresponsive 11-month-old boy on July 11 near Villa and 9th streets. Racine Fire Department rescue personnel transported the boy to Ascension Hospital, but due to the severity of his injuries, he was later airlifted to Children's Hospital in Milwaukee. Despite medical efforts, the infant died from his injuries.
