High pressure will keep our area dry and pretty hot over the next several days
After some very stormy conditions on our Sunday and Sunday night, we saw a very dry Monday across our area. We saw plenty of sunshine and temperatures in the middle 80s to near 90 for a high temperature. All of this calmer and direr weather has been due to some high pressure moving into our area today.

Drug raid in Verona leads to three arrests
TUPELO – A lengthy investigation into reports of illegal drugs being sold out of a Verona area business has resulted in three felony arrests. The Lee County Sheriff’s Office and the North Mississippi Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant at a Verona address on May 30. During that raid, David R. Brinker, 37, of Camelot Street, Tupelo, was arrested and charged with trafficking oxycodone; and David E. Clark, 56, of South Highland Street, Tupelo, was arrested and charged with possession of oxycodone with intent to distribute.
