    VERONA, NJ — Verona Police recently promoted an officer and a sergeant, as friends, family and other members of the community watched.

    Officer Aaron Seubert was promoted to the rank of Sergeant and Sgt. Brendan Huber was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on Tuesday.

    "We congratulate Sgt. Seubert and Lt. Huber, and wish them well as they move forward in the next phase of their careers," the department posted on Facebook.

    Sgt. Seubert was recognized in June by Mothers Against Drunk Driving, for his efforts to deter drunk and drugged driving in New Jersey.
