Women’s Soccer Fit to be Tied
The #10-ranked New York University women’s soccer team played to a 0-0 draw against host #22 Pomona-Pitzer in both teams’ 2024 season openers on Friday, August 30, in Claremont, CA. Despite being out-shot 15-9, the Violets were in good hands as goalkeeper Riley Felsher recorded a career-high nine saves to keep the Sagehens off the scoreboard. After making four saves (on six shots) in the first half, Felsher had to work even harder in the second, as Pomona-Pitzer took nine more shots with NYU’s fifth-year grad student having to stop five of them. QUEENS, N.Y. (PIX11) — An off-duty NYPD auxiliary officer was arrested early Friday morning, according to the police. Ryehan Chubhahan, 34, was taken into custody in Queens just after 5 a.m. The auxiliary officer was charged with third-degree assault.
