HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, NJ - The Hasbrouck Heights Fire Department responded to vehicle fires on opposite sides of Route 46 on Tuesday night. Hasbrouck Heights Police Officers Joe Olivo, Kevin Condal, Michael Renna, Nicholas Brunetti, and Lieutenant John Behr responded to Route 46 East at Collins Avenue to a reported vehicle fire on Tuesday, July 2 at 10:42 p.m. While en route, officers were updated that a separate vehicle accident had just occurred on the westbound side with possible injuries. SHORT HILLS, NJ — The second half of June saw numerous shoplifting attempts at the Mall at Short Hills and a car was stolen on the Neiman Marcus parking deck. A man from the Bronx concealed $620 worth of merchandise from Neiman Marcus in the Short Hills on June 19 and left the store. Police arrested him and charged him with multiple counts of shoplifting. A few days later, police arrested someone who had stolen $2,965 of merchandise from Neiman Marcus.
