Vernon, NY – Zapaca (Steeven Genois) captures the $6,500 featured trot at Vernon Downs on Friday (July 5). Zapaca ($3.40) went right to the front and led to the quarter in :27.2. He used a :30.1 second quarter to be first to the half in :57.3. Woodside Gabe (Leon Bailey) came first-up and battled for the lead as they went around the final turn.
