Food trucks in Remsen to raise funds in fight against cancer
REMSEN — A fun food truck fundraising event will return Monday, July 29, sponsored by the team Penguin Platoon to raise funds for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. Stathis Greek food truck and Squeezers Lemonade will be parked from 3-7 p.m. at 9698 Main St., the former Soda Fountain Restaurant. Penguin Platoon team members will also be set up and selling raffle tickets for a free dinner from Stathis Greek, and tickets to win a Ferris commercial mower donated by Clinton Tractor. The Penguin Platoon has been raising money for Making Strides since 2016. Funds raised support the American Cancer Society’s research programs and free patient services, including a 24/7 Help Line at 1-800-227-2345 and overnight stays at Hope Lodge when treatment requires a patient to travel away from their hometown.
