Quando Rondo may be facing some time behind bars. On Tuesday (Aug 13), the rapper pleaded guilty to a federal drug charge in a Georgia courtroom. According to WTOC-TV , the 25-year-old, legal name Tyquian Terrel Bowman, now faces up to five years in prison.

Judge R. Stan Baker scheduled the sentencing for Dec. 12, 2024.

“I really want to give an apology to the City of Savannah,” Bowman detailed after the hearing according to the news station. “I want to give an apology to my family, friends, loved ones, [and] most of all to my daughters for taking all my family and all my loved ones through this stressful point.”

Bowman was initially taken into custody by Savannah Police in December 2023. The arrest followed an indictment for drug and gang-related charges, with accusations that he held a “manager role” in the Rollin’ 60s gang.

In July of the same year, Bowman wrecked a vehicle shortly after being released from jail on a $100,000 bond. Authorities detailed that Bowman was administered Narcan by emergency responders after exhibiting signs of an overdose. He was then prohibited from driving and legally subjected to drug testing to stay out of jail.

According to the Associated Press, Bowman’s guilty plea is for a single count of conspiracy to possess and distribute marijuana. He still faces state gang and drug charges in Chatham County Superior Court, where a judge in February placed an indefinite pause on the case, pending the outcome of the federal charges.

Musically, the rapper has hinted at his upcoming EP Here For A Reason: In The Darkest Time, dropping soon. His last project, Recovery, was issued in 2023 via Quando Rondo LLC/Never Broke Again/Atlantic Records, © 2023 Atlantic Records Group LLC. The work features YoungBoy Never Broke Again, and includes 20 tracks.
