O.J. Simpson’s remains have been transformed into jewelry for his four children. TMZ reports that Simpson’s lawyer, Malcolm LaVergne, told the outlet that Simpson’s four remaining children, Sydney Brooke Simpson, Jason Simpson, Justin Simpson, and Arnelle Simpson, honored their father by transforming his memory into wearable artifacts.

While LaVergne didn’t specify whether the jewelry consisted of necklaces, bracelets, or earrings, O.J.’s longtime lawyer disclosed that he wasn’t interested in receiving any of the cremation jewelry. Malcolm also noted that, because he is now the executor of O.J. Simpson’s estate, he had to sign off on legal approval for his kids to proceed with the decision. According to the lawyer, the full process, which involves cremation, the jewelry, and retrieval of the death certificate, cost around $4,243.06 to complete.

O.J. Simpson attends a parole hearing at Lovelock Correctional Center July 20, 2017 in Lovelock, Nevada. Simpson is serving a nine to 33 year prison term for a 2007 armed robbery and kidnapping conviction.

As previously reported, O.J. Simpson, also known as “the Juice,” passed away at age 76 after battling cancer . The family issued a statement to his fans via X/Twitter during the time of his death, saying, “On April 10th, our father, Orenthal James Simpson, succumbed to his battle with cancer . He was surrounded by his children and grandchildren. During this time of transition, his family asks that you please respect their wishes for privacy and grace.”

In the aftermath of his death, Fred Goldman, Ron Goldman’s father, filed a creditor’s claim against the O.J. Simpson’s estate. NBC reported that Goldman is seeking to collect $117 million from the estate in connection with a wrongful death suit stemming back to 1997. The wrongful death lawsuit, filed by Fred, along with Sharon Goldman, Ron’s mother, found Simpson “responsible” for the deaths of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron.

The legal document claims that Simpson’s estate owes him $117,041,675.27. Goldman’s creditor’s claim was renewed in court three times over the past twenty years — in 2006, 2015, and 2022 — with the total amount increasing to $96.3 million in the latter year. It has since accrued interest, increasing by $20.6 million since then. “After July 25, 2024, the Claim Amount will accrue interest at the daily rate of $26,402.3630 until paid,” the legal doc says.
