Joie Chavis has given birth. The 35-year-old shared the news on social media, but not with a formal announcement. Instead, she took to Instagram’s story feature to share a compilation of FaceTime calls where she surprises close friends and family with her new, baby girl.

The upload does not feature specific details such as the exact date of birth or the infant’s name.

Chavis revealed her pregnancy in March 2024, naming NFL player Trevon Diggs the father of the child. The newborn is her third child and his first daughter. According to PageSix, he has two sons, Aaiden and Chosen, from previous relationships.

Chavis parents her 13-year-old daughter Shai with rapper Bow Wow and shares her 5-year-old son Hendrix with rapper Future.

The Jasmine Brand reported she confirmed her breakup with Diggs in the comment section of a photo uploaded from her baby shower last month, calling the spit “obvious.” Dating rumors began in September 2022 when Diggs uploaded a birthday celebration for Chavis on Instagram. She was spotted at one of his football games around the same time with custom merchandise featuring his name and photo.

In the past, the entrepreneur has spoken out against being labeled for her choice of men.

“‘Oh, she’s a gold digger,’ ‘she’s just having these babies to secure a bag,’” she joked during a Q&A session per VIBE. “I always have worked since I was 15 years old, I don’t know what it’s like to just not do anything. I don’t get any child support.”

Chavis continued, “I think that’s the biggest misconception, and it doesn’t bother me at all. To the people that know me, obviously, I’m so much more than that.”
