Vicksburg man arrested for cocaine possession

A report of suspicious activity led to a drug arrest over the weekend.

According to information from Vicksburg Police Department (VPD), officers responded to Della’s Park in the 2100 block of Halls Ferry Road Sunday in response to the report and found 41-year-old Simon Atkins, of Vicksburg, in possession of a “felony amount of cocaine.”

Atkins appeared before Judge Penny Lawson in Vicksburg Municipal Court Monday. He is charged with possession of cocaine and was bound over to the Warren County Grand Jury on a $20,000 bond.
