Rain rain coming our way. Coming again another day

What we're tracking: Upper level low pressure continues to spin in the Central Great Plains. This low colliding with our stationary front nearby will continue spewing off showers and thunderstorms in the Crossroads and in other parts of the state. No severe weather is expected, although moderate lightning activity, gusty winds up to 40 mph, flash flooding, and heavy rainfall up to 5 inches will be possible for some this week with heavier storms. High pressure slowly returning to the Central US going into next week will bring back the Sun and the heat. Some good news is the tropics are still nice and quiet with no tropical development expected for more than a week.

Next 24 hours: Scattered showers and thunderstorms will be very likely today and tomorrow. Rain coverage/chances both days remain at 80%. Rainfall by tomorrow night could add up to 3.5 inches for some who receive heavier rain activity. Highs today and tomorrow graciously stick in the 80s with rain keeping us cool!
