VISD invites community to public meetings for Superintendent search

VICTORIA, Texas - The Victoria Independent School District is inviting all community members to participate in a series of public meetings as part of the search for a new superintendent.

Meeting Schedule:

• Monday, August 5

o Shields Elementary at 5:30 p.m.

o Aloe Elementary at 7 p.m.

• Tuesday, August 6

o Hopkins Elementary at 5:30 p.m.

o Vickers Elementary at 7 p.m.

• Monday, August 19

o Mission Valley Elementary at 6 p.m.

"We value the voices of our community and believe that your input is vital in shaping the future of Victoria ISD," said Mike Mercer, Board President. "These meetings are an opportunity for everyone to share their thoughts and help us find the right leader for our district."

Community members are encouraged to attend any of the scheduled meetings to provide feedback and express their expectations for the new superintendent.

VISD is committed to a transparent and comprehensive search process, ensuring that all stakeholders have the opportunity to be heard.

All public meetings will be recorded and posted to the VISD website.
