Why Are All of These Beautiful Florida Beaches Empty? | Public Beach Access on Longboat Key, Florida

Longboat Key is an 11 mile long island located to the west of Sarasota, Florida and divided between Sarasota and Manatee Counties. The sleepy island offers world class golfing and resorts as well as some of the very best Florida beaches. What separates Longboat Key's beaches from the busier Sarasota area beaches (to the south) and St. Petersburg area beaches (to the north), is that you'll often find Longboat Key's beaches to be nearly empty in comparison. In this video, we'll visit several of the Public Beach Accesses on Longboat Key. We'll also explain why Longboat beaches are so empty compared to several nearby beaches to the north and the south.
