'Save the Deer' rallies against upcoming hunt in October
It was a familiar refrain in a different setting Friday. 20 members and supporters of the group "Save the Deer" set up across from a fundraiser at Fellows Riverside Gardens, looking to get the attention of wealthy donors. Two years into their protests of deer culling to control population throughout Mill Creek Park, they're not giving up ahead of the next hunt the park board scheduled for October.
Prima Cucina closes Youngstown location until downtown construction ends
A Youngstown restaurant is closing its doors for now, due to the ongoing road construction project downtown. Prima Cucina made the announcement on Facebook Friday afternoon:. "Our downtown location is temporarily closed until the construction project is complete and the city reopens for business. COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Wildlife has announced the sale of a fishing boat previously seized from Chase Cominsky, 37, of Hermitage, Pennsylvania. The 22-foot Ranger boat, which was part of the evidence in a high-profile cheating scandal, was sold through an online auction that concluded on Tuesday, July 23.
