Temperatures have peaked at or above 90 degrees in Louisville a total of 40 times this year: once in May, 12 times in June, 15 times in July, and 12 times so far in August. And we expect to do it every day until the end of the month. Moth Man adopted after being rescued by LFACC ‘from life of severe neglect’
LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — After surviving abandonment by his former owners, Moth Man the dog has been adopted into a new loving home. Moth Man had been abandoned in a move back in early August after what the Lexington Humane Society said was “a life of severe neglect.” Another dog abandoned in the house with Moth Man did not survive the abandonment, according to authorities.
Morehead State Volleyball Claims 3-1 Exhibition Win Over Miami (Ohio)
Morehead State volleyball began the season with a 3-1 exhibition victory against Miami (Ohio) at Johnson Arena. The Eagles showcased depth by utilizing all 16 roster players under second-year head coach Kyrsten Becker-McBride. After a close start, they won sets one, three, and four decisively. Junior outside hitter M.E. Hargan led the team with 13 kills, while redshirt junior Sydney Wyman made a successful return after injury with 11 kills. Defensive standout Peighton Isley recorded 26 digs, demonstrating strong team performance as they prepare for the upcoming season opener.

FORT CAMPBELL, KY (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – For the first time in 714 days, the Vikings have won a football game. Northwest traveled to Fryar Stadium at Fort Campbell High School on Aug. 23, and behind a strong start, the Vikings won, 35-16. Northwest came out of the gates swinging, scoring 28 points in the first half. The ground game was effective for the Vikings, highlighted by Brice Moore’s four touchdowns rushing.
