SACRAMENTO — The Fourth of July may be over, but work is just beginning at the UC Davis burn center in Sacramento, where treatment is underway for all the victims injured by fireworks.Dr. Tina Palmieri is the chief burn surgeon at the Firefighters Burn Institute Regional Burn Center at UC Davis. According to the National Weather Service, downtown Sacramento's high temperature reached 110 degrees on Friday afternoon. That is a new daily record high for July 5.
