A couple of months ag0, I shared I shared an article from KCRA News about a new route to the Sacramento International Airport that can help you bypass all the roadwork going on. In it they quoted Scott Johnston, Sacramento County Department of Airports spokesman, who “suggested taking the Elkhorn Boulevard extension as an alternate route. The mile-long stretch of road, which opened on May 21, connects Highway 99 in North Natomas to the airport. ‘Motorists can also exit at the Metro Air Parkway exit and use the Elkhorn extension to access the airport,’ Johnston said.” The new Elkhorn Blvd. extension is only about one mile and includes four lanes.” Both these options could give us an easier way into the airport by bypassing the construction currently going on.

The year of closures continues to roll on. Ever since the calendar has turned to 2024, it seems like it has been bad news for once-popular businesses and food chains. Many have announced that they have filed for bankruptcy in some form or fashion, with plenty also having announced the closures of locations across the country. In some severe cases, some companies have called it quits and closed their doors altogether. Ten years from now, this year will likely be remembered as the year that saw the downfall of some of the most successful retail stores and food chains once upon a time.
