California Man Going To Prison For Mailing Meth To Iowa
(Muscatine, IA) -- A California man will spend 15 years in prison for sending packages of methamphetamine to southeastern Iowa. The United States Department of Justice says from October 2020 to July 2022, 35-year-old Jose Antonio Reyes conspired with others to mail large amounts of meth from California to Iowa.

Rock Island Post 200 Two Wins Away from American Legion Baseball State Title
The Illinois State Tournament for American Legion baseball in Barrington started on Wednesday. Rock Island Post 200 began their tournament with a 13-4 win over Wheaton Post 76 in the first round on Wednesday. Post 200 then followed that up with a 13-7 win over Palos Post 1993 on Thursday. Rock Island is now (27-5) overall, and will take on the host team, Barrington Post 158 on Friday afternoon in the winner’s bracket finals. Barrington is (14-9-1) overall. The winner will play for the Illinois State Tournament championship on Saturday at 11am and will have to be beaten twice. The loser of today’s game drops down to the loser’s bracket and play again at 4:00 to try to get back to the championship game on Saturday.
