Stepan joins Up North Dental

Up North Dental is thrilled to announce that Dr. Peggy Stepan will be joining our Virginia, MN office as a full-time dentist on August 1, 2024. Dr. Stepan’s addition to our team will not only allow us to expand our days of operation to Monday-Thursday, but we can also begin to accept new patients at our Virginia, MN office.

Dr. Stepan is a native northern Minnesotan who grew up in Sturgeon Lake, MN, and graduated from Willow River High School. As a child, she wore braces to correct misaligned teeth, and had to have surgery on her upper and lower jaw to correct an overbite. This experience transformed her life from being shy and reserved to outgoing and more confident. Working with a general dentist, orthodontist, and an oral maxillofacial surgeon gave her first hand insight into the dental field and its’ many specialties. It also instilled in her a deep desire to help others achieve their best self through their smile, and pursue a career in dentistry.

She completed her Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Wisconsin-Superior in 2014. From there, she went on to graduate from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 2019. For the past 4+ years, Dr. Stepan has worked as a dentist at Bois Forte Health Services. She has lived in Virginia, MN for over 2 years, and is now looking to practice closer to her home. The residents of Virginia, MN have been very neighborly and welcoming to her, and she appreciates all the walking/biking trails as well as the wide array of businesses the Virginia area has to offer.

Dr. Stepan holds herself to a very high standard of care, and strives to provide a positive relationship with her patients. She enjoys all aspects of dentistry including extractions and root canals. Dr Stepan looks forward to providing her patients with excellent preventative care to maintain healthy smiles, and will strive to meet the dental needs and desires of this community. “ I take great pride in treating my patients in a conservative manner to help maintain and restore their dentition. I look forward to getting to know them on a personal basis.” said Dr. Peggy Stepan.
