    Onions in deviled eggs?

Deviled eggs have been a staple in Virginia for all of my life. You can count on them at picnics, on holidays, after someone dies, and for church functions where a repast is served. There are many recipes for deviling eggs, and according to Southern Living, a popular one in Southern states includes French onions.

A simple mixture of shredded cheese and store-bought fried onions (the same ones that go on green bean casserole) is baked into super-savory, crunchy berets that add the perfect finishing touch to these handsome devils.

Southern Living's test team has tasted these eggs many times and guarantees that you'll be hooked once you try French onion deviled eggs. For a recipe, please click on this link or this YouTube video.
