    Shaboozey makes Virginia proud again

Virginia has produced many talented individuals in the entertainment industry, like Tim Reid, Pharrell Williams, Warren Beatty, Sandra Bullock, and Ella Fitzgerald.

The Roanoke Times reports that a young singer from the Commonwealth who has reached number one on the music charts has another honor to his name. Woodbridge native and Country/Rap artist 29-year-old Shaboozey's hit song, "Last of My Kind" has been chosen as the ACC college football season anthem.

“His Virginia roots which are right in the heart of the ACC come through in the tonality of his music and distinctively in 'Last of My Kind.' This song was the perfect choice to serve as the anthem for the 2024 ACC football season and we’re confident fans will find themselves singing along all season.”

Some fans believe that if the Bey Hive had not gone out in droves to support Beyonce's Country album Shaboozey's hit, The Bar Song would have been the first number one by a Black Country artist instead of number two.
