Louisiana Waffle House Locations Make Major Change and Many Customers Aren’t Happy About It
There is a sign from a local Waffle House that has been making its way around social media today and it's left many fans of the 24-hour restaurant scratching their heads. The sign basically says that on Fridays, Saturdays, and holidays, from 11:30 pm to 6:00 am, you won't be able to dine in at Waffle House restaurants, and you'll only be able to pick up to-go orders.

SHREVEPORT, LA Shreveport Police Investigate Homicide. On July 15th, 2024, at approximately 11:45 p.m., Shreveport Police Patrol Officers responded to a shots fired call at Westover Street and Velva Street. While responding, officers observed two vehicles leaving the scene in opposite directions on Hearne Avenue. Officers attempted to stop both vehicles, but neither yielded to emergency lights or sirens.

Henderson to serve life-plus prison term
SHREVEPORT, La. - A Shreveport woman who shot her husband and then doused his body with gasoline must serve life in prison, and then some, a Caddo district judge has ruled. Charlene Henderson, 45, found guilty in June of the May 16, 2022 second-degree murder of Larry Clark, also 45, was sentenced Tuesday to the mandatory life term. She was sentenced to another 20 years in prison, to be served consecutively, for conviction of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Shreveport Police makes renewed effort in proactive policing in downtown Shreveport
SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - The Shreveport Police Department is making a renewed effort in proactive policing in downtown. Chief Wayne Smith says four patrol officers have been assigned to a special team that will aim to prevent crime in the downtown area, and other parts of the city. Over the weekend of July 13, the chief says those officers performed 104 traffic stops and issued 189 citations.
Shreveport Man Wanted for Battery of a Pregnant Woman
Officers from the Shreveport Police Department responded to a report of a violent domestic incident in the 4300 block of Illinois Street. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim, who reported that her live-in boyfriend and the father of her children, Phillip Crutchfield, had battered her. The victim is seven months pregnant.

It's no surprise that Shreveport has been in a battle against litter, earlier this year Shreveport Police Department announced they had made their first litter-related arrest.
