San Antonio police search for armed robbers after dispensary theft
San Antonio police are investigating after two different businesses were robbed by people with weapons in the evening on Saturday, July 6. The first robbery happened on the city's Far Northeast Side at around 7:43 p.m. at Grabuds, a vape shop and cannabis dispensary located at 14044 Nacogdoches Road, Suite 103, San Antonio, Texas, 78247. Police said that four people entered the store wearing dark clothing with face coverings, two of which had handguns. Preliminary information states the four individuals "worked together to steal various merchandise" before fleeing on foot. Police said they searched the area, but were not able to find the group of people. No information on the suspected robbers is known at this time. Police are continuing to investigate.
Bexar County: July Fourth fireworks cause $209,000 in damages across several blazes in suburban areas
SAN ANTONIO — While crews remained on alert all Thursday night into the early-morning hours Friday, Bexar County officials said the number of fireworks-related fires they responded to in unincorporated areas and suburban communities this July Fourth dropped to 35 from last year's tally of 49. That amounts to a 29% decrease. The trend continues for structures fires believed to have been caused by fireworks, of which there were two this year after the county fire marshal's office responded to six in 2023.
Motorcyclist killed during crash on Northwest Side
SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — A motorcyclist is dead after a crash on Highway 211 Saturday morning. Police were called to the scene near the Government Canyon State Natural Area around 7:45 a.m. Investigators say the person riding the motorcycle lost control while taking a curve at high speed. The person was thrown from the bike and killed at the scene.
