WACO, TX ( FOX 44 ) — The Baylor Baseball team struggled to find any sort of offense on Thursday night, as the Bears dropped game one of their weekend series against Cincinnati.

The two teams traded scoreless frames for the first two innings, until Cincy’s Tommy O’Connor ripped a home run just inside the foul pole in right field.

From there, it was all Bearcats, as they extended out the lead to 8-0, before the Bears added three runs in the bottom of the ninth.

Despite the loss, Mason Green had a solid start on the mound, as he struck out six batters in four innings on short rest.

The two teams will play game two of the weekend series on Friday, March 29th at 6:30 pm.
