BROOKLYN, NY ( FOX 44 ) — After making quite a mark during his lone season at Baylor, freshman guard Ja’Kobe Walter is now set to start his NBA career, after the Toronto Raptors drafted him 19th overall.

During his single season in Waco, Walter became an impact player from game one, scoring 28 points in the team’s season opener against Auburn. From there, he went on to lead the team in scoring, with 14.5 points per game, while also bringing down 4.4 rebounds per contest as well.

He now continues the recent pathway for guards from Baylor to the NBA, joining the likes of Keyonte George, Kendall Brown and Davion Mitchell.
