This is Our Home: Richmond
RICHMOND, Vt. — Richmond, Vermont, nestled in the heart of the Green Mountain State, is a town rich in history and community spirit. Erin Farr and her daughters, Addie and Annie, represent the third and fourth generations on Farr Farm. Settled by Erin’s husband’s grandparents in the 1940s, the farm originally operated as a dairy farm until 2018. Today, Farr Farm is a diversified operation featuring beef, pork, eggs, and agritourism. Erin reflects on the transition: “Whether they're just coming to take some pictures and enjoy the sunflowers or if they're coming to buy eggs and meat and show their kids where their food is coming from, I think any opportunity to get folks, especially kids, on the farm so that they can be learning more about it is a good thing.” Addie and Annie are incredibly helpful around the farm; they go on egg deliveries, assist with egg collection, and give the animals endless cuddles. The girls are really grateful to call the farm their home and share it with friends and neighbors.
