According to the North Carolina Education Lottery, a ticket purchased at a convenience store on South Main Street in Wake Forest won $5,000 in Sunday night’s Lucky for Life drawing.

Power back on for many customers in Durham, Wake and other counties after trees fall on power lines
Electricity has been restored to most customers across multiple counties in central North Carolina.Duke Energy workers spent the morning on Lakeview Drive clearing trees that fell on some power lines causing dozens to lose power.According to the Duke Energy outage map, only a few dozen homes lost power in that area because of it.Sunday night storms led to downed trees that fell or power linesThe peak of the outages was around 5:30 p.m., according to a Duke Energy map. On Monday, WRAL in Raleigh reported that UNC is moving closer in terms of their next steps for what to do about the Dean Dome. In the last two decades, the campus has seen various project improvements for campus venues while the Smith Center has mostly stayed the same. Carmichael Arena has had two major upgrades. Fetzer Field has become Dorrance Field with a complete renovation with seats on both sides.
