    Wake Forest hires new engineering director

    The town of Wake Forest announced Monday that it has hired Tim Watson as its new engineering director.

    Watson joins the Wake Forest staff from Durham, where he served as engineering manager for the city’s Public Works Department since 2015.

    He comes with three decades worth of experience under his built. Since 1994, he’s worked on commercial site plans, subdivisions, stormwater planning, street upgrades, utility extensions, sidewalks, multiuse paths and more.

    As Wake Forest’s engineering director, Tim is responsible for protecting the town’s infrastructure through sound engineering practices and identifying potential partnerships to enhance existing or needed infrastructure.

    He is also charged with ensuring the compliance and accountability of transportation, stormwater, environmental engineering, construction inspection,  and implementation of capital improvement projects throughout the town.
