Severe storms and flash flooding cause problems across central NC on Monday afternoon
The chance for severe storms became a reality Monday afternoon in central North Carolina.Shortly before 3:15 p.m. a severe thunderstorm pushed through Durham, Granville, Wake and Franklin counties for a little over an hour.The storm brought flash flooding to some areas, including a service road along side 15-501 in Durham. In the past two years, 988 crisis counselors in North Carolina have responded to nearly 190,000 calls, texts and chats, providing critical access to mental health and substance use crisis support.
