Volunteer firefighters with the Jasper, Kimball, and Whitwell Volunteer Fire Departments took part in a join training effort on Saturday in Jasper. The 16-hour training covered pump operations and a draft class, necessary for the department members to have a better operational understanding of equipment and how to properly “draft” water from a temporary tank or portable container in an area where few or no hydrants are available.
