Waldorf resident Mack Lee Cleckley, 40, was arrested by US Marshals following a lengthy search when he went rogue after violating the conditions of his bond in connection to a drug arrest earlier this year.

According to investigators, in August last year, detectives from the sheriff's office presented a drug distribution case to a Charles County Grand Jury which charged Cleckley with possession with the intent to distribute drugs, possession of drugs, possession of drug distribution equipment, and other related offenses, leading to a warrant for his arrest.

In April, Clerkley was taken into custody, and he was later released by a judge on electronic monitoring, though it only took him one day to cut off the device and a new bench warrant was issued for his arrest on Tuesday, May 7.

On Monday, a spokesperson from the sheriff's office announced that Cleckley has been located and arrested without incident in Gulfport, Mississippi.

Cleckley is being held at the Pearl River County Detention Center, where he was charged on a federal probation violation warrant and is waiting to be extradited back to Maryland to face charges.

    The incident remains under investigation.
