In a shocking move for concert-goers, Moondance Jam 33 in northern Minnesota has canceled all its headline acts due to the "present economic climate," with no refunds offered to customers.

The "Rock and Roll event of the summer" is still scheduled for July 18-20 in Walker, Minnesota despite the absence of its main headliners Kansas, Journey's lead singer Steve Augeri, and Creed, as well as other classic rock acts Blue Oyster Cult, Foghat and The Sweet.

"For over 30 years, Moondance Jam has been a beloved tradition in Walker, MN, providing a platform for outstanding music performances in a beautiful setting.

"However, despite our best efforts, we have not met the necessary financial thresholds to produce a festival with national touring attractions this year. In light of these financial hurdles, we cannot proceed with any national touring lineup."

The festival has been renamed "Camp Moondance" and will now feature local bands: Johnny O'Neil, Mallrats, and Aortic Fire, as well as cover bands like The Band That Fell to Earth: A Tribute to David Bowie and the Beatles tribute band A Hard Days Night .

The festival has not offered full refunds to ticket holders; instead, it announced on Facebook that concert-goers may use their tickets for the festival in exchange for four more tickets, exchange them for future events like Deuces Wild Dueling Pianos, or keep them for the next year.

The Star Tribune reached out to Moondance's owner, Kathy Bieloh, who confirmed the lineup change was due to "poor ticket sales." While they are working on how to handle ticket refunds, her "hands are tied about saying most anything at this time."

Tickets are still available on the festival's website, starting at $200 for a 3-day general admission.

While Moondance Jam turned off Facebook comments on its posts, ticket holders still shared their anger over the last-minute changes:

Bring Me The News has reached out to Moondance Jam for comment and refund information but has not received a response yet.
