18-Hole League

Twenty-five members played Thursday in the Tianna 18-Hole Ladies Golf League on an above average HOT day in Walker.

The temperature wasn’t the only hot topic because several ladies had hot clubs working for them.

The game of the day was Low Net. There were three flights with three winners in each flight.

First flight winners were Bonnie Franke with a 71, Gail Teig 75, and Linda Aitken 75.

Second flight winners were Ann Owen 67, Joyce Rief 71 and Kathy Hoffman 73.

Third flight lucky winners were Jan Gandy 68, Mary Becker 68, and Bonnie Isaacson 75.

Shirley Olson’s wedge was on fire with two chip-ins on 8 and 10. Patty Brandt had hers on 6.

Congratulations to all the winners.

Nine-Hole League

The Nine-Hole League was back at the course on Tuesday morning with lots of golfers joining in our Criers Cup! This game gives golfers the opportunity to remove their two highest hole scores and take a par on those holes to add in with their other seven hole scores.

Tianna is always a difficult course to navigate but starting our game at 9 a.m. found us already complaining about the warmth and the lack of breeze! Thank goodness we play cart golf so as you move from spot to spot we get a slight breeze!

Our low score winners were Paula Pederson with a 44, Bev Corr-Higdem 45, Kathy Hoffman 45 and Kathy Trimble 46!

Lunch was enjoyed afterwards in the air-conditioned clubhouse.
