RAPID CITY, S.D. - Hills Alive is this weekend, starting at noon on Saturday, July 20 and then picking up again at noon on Sunday, July 21. The popular Christian music festival, organized this year by LifeLight, has been a mainstay of local summer entertainment in the Black Hills for nearly 40 years. After a disappointing announcement last year that radio station KSLT would no longer organize the event, LifeLight Ministries stepped in to take over and continue the event.
Stoeser Receives Dance Coach of the Year at Annual Awards Banquet
Amanda Stoeser would be awarded 2023 Dance Coach Of the Year at the 53rd Annual South Dakota High School Coaches Association Awards Banquet on Sunday July 14th in Mitchell. Stoeser has been coaching the Riggs Competitive Dance Team since 2018 and serves at the President of the South Dakota Dance Coaches Association. Stoeser was one of the 19 head coaches to receive the award in their specific sport. Overall there were 30 awards handed out from the state including the Hall of Fame dinner on July 14. Six members were inducted into the Hall of Fame with Charlie Sizer from Miller being a local name with the Class of 2024 Hall of Fame.
