Garretson edges Winner/Colome, advances to Class B semifinals
MITCHELL — Garretson relied on the arm of Nick Bonte and enough offense to return to the Class B semifinals. The Blue Jays held off perennial power Winner/Colome, 6-3, in the quarterfinals of the Class B state amateur baseball tournament on Friday at Cadwell Park. Crews working to contain 330-acre fire in Black Hills
EDGEMONT, S.D. (KELO) — Firefighters in western South Dakota are working on containing a fire that started Thursday afternoon. The USDA says the Bennett Fire was started by a lightning strike eight miles southeast of Dewey, in Fall River County. As of Friday, the Bennett Fire is estimated at 330 acres in size, burning in the Black Hills National Forest.
